What does password means?

A password is a basic security mechanism that consists of a secret pass phrase created using alphabetic, numeric, alphanumeric and symbolic characters, or a combination. A password is used to restrict access to a system, application or service to only those users who have memorized or stored and/or are authorized to use it.

A password may also be called an access code, PIN or secret code.

What is the importance of the password:

Most of our online accounts are protected by a username and password combination. These passwords protect the data that we store in our accounts, whether that is our bank details, our purchase history or our home address.

What is considered a strong password?

A strong password is an effective password that would be
difficult to break. The criteria for a suitable password is ten or more uppercase and lowercase characters (the more complex, the better). It also may include some special characters, like an exclamation mark (!), dollar sign ($), or percent (%). Below is an example of a strong password containing uppercase and lowercase characters and several special characters.
